The culinary offerings here are a testament to the highest standards of craftsmanship and creativity. The dinner menu is a gourmet’s delight, featuring standout dishes like the warm lemon-glazed East Coast River Café Oysters topped with caramelized sweet onion and Pacific sturgeon caviar, and the hot sautéed duck foie gras paired with blueberry compote and pistachio pain perdu—a play of rich, savory flavors softened by sweet undertones. For main courses, The River Café showcases expertly roasted Colorado rack of lamb accompanied by merguez sausage and delicate baby eggplant, or the exquisitely char-grilled Niman Ranch strip steak served alongside red wine-braised beef short rib and marrow with smoky shallot Béarnaise. Another highlight is the pan-roasted Fallow venison loin, offered with hearty fall root vegetables, braised cabbage, chestnut spaetzle, and a wild lingonberry jus that captivates the palate with depth and complexity.

Desserts are no less spectacular, weaving comfort with sophistication: imagine savoring a Chocolate Brooklyn Bridge—a dark chocolate marquise served with passion fruit ice cream and banana macadamia ganache—or a light yet indulgent coffee soufflé paired with espresso caramel and lemon sherbet. Are you looking for an elegant location in Brooklyn with a stunning view of Manhattan? This is your choice. The atmosphere is beautiful. The food on the menu is Michelin-star quality dishes. The River Café offers a dine-in experience or a dine-in experience for extravagant weddings. I recently had my sister’s wedding reception here and everything from the ceremony to the cake cutting was handled with care. It was a top-notch experience. The staff were very polite. The prices were high, and the high costs will bring you top-quality service and Michelin-starred dishes. I highly recommend you try this restaurant out.

⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐ We had the most incredible anniversary dinner here and every detail exceeded our expectations. From the moment we sat down, the service was warm, attentive, and thoughtful — they made the evening feel truly special. The dishes were beautifully presented and full of flavor. The steak was perfectly cooked, tender, and paired with rich, earthy accompaniments that elevated every bite. The side dish was creative and unique, adding a fun twist to the meal. The highlight was the anniversary dessert — a stunning presentation complete with a candle and a personalized chocolate message. It wasn’t just gorgeous to look at, it tasted absolutely divine, with the perfect balance of textures and flavors. This was fine dining at its very best: elegant, memorable, and delicious from start to finish. We couldn’t have asked for a more perfect way to celebrate 20 years together. Highly recommend for any special occasion

The River Cafe is the most magical place in Brooklyn. I had my wedding there recently and cannot recommend it enough. My husband and I were married in the garden, which was so dreamy and felt like a little oasis within the city. The staff at the River Cafe truly provides white glove service from start to finish. The evening went flawlessly, the food was fantastic (some guests said it was the best meal of their life), and the ambiance is to die for. Thank you so much to Alyson, King, and the entire staff at the River Cafe for making my wedding day so special and perfect. If you are on the fence about getting married here, do it!

Lovely & Romantic Evening at The River Café We had the most wonderful experience here. From the moment we arrived, the warm welcome set the tone for the evening. The atmosphere was romantic, with stunning views to New York landscape that made everything feel extra special. The service was attentive and professional, making us feel truly taken care of. Every moment—from the start to when we left—was enjoyable, and it’s clear that this is a place where both the food and the experience matter. A truly memorable evening!

One of the most romantic restaurants in New York I’ve been coming here for years recently every Valentine’s Day. The service is impeccable and the food pricey but worth every penny the Wawa was spectacular. The big standout was the truffle ravioli. I had the Dover saw, and the Salmon gave a great suggestion of an affordable Montre Shea, which was delicious.
